This 10 week paid summer internship is a great opportunity for you to gain inside knowledge and make connections with tailored training in Venture Capital, Entrepreneurship, and Startups at one of the top Venture Capital firms in Los Angeles. PledgeLA, in collaboration with HBCUvc, is thrilled to announce the third year of LA’s first-ever citywide Summer Venture Capital Internship. The program provides promising students from backgrounds not well-represented in venture capital with tailored training and a 10-week paid summer experiential learning internship at an LA-based VC firm. With PledgeLA, we found a true partner that aligned with our mission of increasing inclusion and belonging in venture capital to historically marginalized communities. Our collaboration brought Los Angeles’ first paid venture capital training internship program, which saw 13 interns placed at PledgeLA member firms. PledgeLA is a collective of LA-based tech companies and venture capital firms working to create measurable change. To build a tech sector that will truly reflect the diversity of Los Angeles, we focus on: In partnership with Annenberg Foundation and PledgeLA, HBCUvc launched the first VC internship program in Los Angeles in 2019 in response to a lack of representation in the local ecosystem.

To convey extra candidates from underrepresented teams into L.A.’s get started-up scene, PledgeLA and the VC fund Crosscut Ventures launched a regional tech occupation board. This summertime, PledgeLA will start a new $500,000 fund for tech founders in South L.A., to be split up among 20 companies that contend in a pitch competitors this slide.
